Qualifications/

Requirements:

Must hold a North Carolina teaching license in the area of Exceptional Children. 

Goal:

To provide support with exceptional children's paperwork. 

Duties:

• Demonstrate knowledge of educational and exceptional children’s laws, rules, regulations, practices and trends in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations
• Maintain accurate and timely student records in accordance with the North Carolina Policies Governing Programs and Services for Children with Disabilities
• Proficient in utilizing ECATS to develop required documents
• Collaborate and coordinate with educators of the student
• Must be self-motivated, self-directed, collaborative, and flexible
• Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, and in self-selected professional growth activities and demonstrate evidence of growth
• Must be able to perform heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of forces frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding student records
• Other duties as assigned
