ITS Hourly Systems Technician (2 positions)

Permanent / Part Time / Up-to 29 hours per week

Chief Technology Officer

Salary / FLSA / Non-Exempt

$25.00 per hour

Nature of Work

Technology delivery and setup; recycle, pickup and inventory;  network cabling and equipment installation.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience with network cabling and equipment installation
• Previous experience in an educational setting
• A minimum of 5 years’ professional work experience with computer software setup and configuration
• Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects

Responsibilities

• Installation of network cabling
• Installation of network, computer and other technology hardware
• Computer system upgrade, reload and setup
• Courier of recyclable items and equipment from schools to ITS facility
• Physical installation of network equipment, network wiring and new computers is required; therefore, candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 100 lbs., climb ladders, and capable of physical activities required in these duties
• Other duties as assigned

Above all, potential candidates must possess the ability to learn and apply new knowledge rapidly and be able to clearly communicate highly technical information to technicians and end-users.
