Qualifications/
Requirements:
|
Must hold a North Carolina teaching license in the area of Exceptional Children.
|
Goal:
|
To provide support with exceptional children's paperwork.
|
Duties:
|
- Demonstrate knowledge of educational and exceptional children’s laws, rules, regulations, practices and trends in accordance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate and timely student records in accordance with the North Carolina Policies Governing Programs and Services for Children with Disabilities
- Proficient in utilizing ECATS to develop required documents
- Collaborate and coordinate with educators of the student
- Must be self-motivated, self-directed, collaborative, and flexible
- Maintain professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the district, and in self-selected professional growth activities and demonstrate evidence of growth
- Must be able to perform heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of forces frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects
- Must maintain confidentiality regarding student records
- Other duties as assigned
