Salary / FLSA / Non-Exempt

Grade 51B ($15.00 - $16.94 per hour)

The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant’s years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position.  Experience outside of this system may not be recognized for pay purposes.  For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools’ pay scale.

 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record that qualifies employee to obtain and maintain a valid NCCDL and drive a bus as directed by supervisor
  • Must comply with all rules and regulations governing the safe operation of a school bus
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision once the job is learned
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to read, write and keep records
  • Ability to perform simple calculations
  • Must be able to perform very heavy work exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to lift objects

Duties

  • Safely transport students to and from school as required
  • Other duties as assigned
