Monthly Salary:

Grade 74 ($4,191 - $5,851) Plus local supplement
The salary for this position is based upon the successful applicant’s years of service in the NC State Retirement System in the same or similar position. Experience outside of this system is not recognized for pay purposes. For current Lincoln County School employees, this position will be paid according to the current Lincoln County Schools’ pay scale.

Nature of Work:
|
Remote and onsite computer hardware and software support for all students and staff.
|
|
Qualifications:
|
- Bachelors Degree or higher in I.T. related area preferred
- Microsoft MCP in Windows 2019 Server and Windows 11 preferred
- CCNA Cisco Certification preferred (or higher)
- A minimum of 5 years employment in an I.T. related field.
|

Responsibilities:
|
- General Help Desk support for end users. (Windows 9x-11 clients, Office 9x-2019, other educational and data management software.)
- General Field operations support for end users. (Windows 9x-11 clients, Office 9x-2019, other educational and data management software.)
- Entry level knowledge of Meraki/Cisco switches, and wireless access points preferred.
- Physical installation of network equipment, network wiring, and new computers is required. Therefore, candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. and capable of physical activities required in these duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Above all, potential candidates must possess the ability to learn and apply new knowledge rapidly. They must also be able to clearly communicate highly technical information to technicians and end users.
